Regional Workshop on Extraterritorial State Obligations and Access to Natural Resources

A four day regional workshop on “Extraterritorial States Obligations and Access to Natural Resources” concluded on 19 April 2013 in Kathmandu. Civil society leaders attending the workshop from Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Malaysia said that multinational companies, state authorities and security forces across the globe are active in land grabbing and pose serious threats and violations to people’s right to food and livelihoods.
