Policy Discussion with federal level parliament members to facilitate them to proper implementation of National Park and Wildlife Conservation Act 2029 (1972), and 5th Amendment 2073 (2017) for the peoples living in buffer zone areas

A policy discussion program has been organized by FIAN Nepal with the aim to make well prepared to federal level parliament members (PM)/members of Agriculture, Cooperative and Natural Resources parliamentarians committee members including PM which has been representing form National Park affected areas on the different progressive and regressive provisions of (a) National Park and Wildlife Conservation Act 2029 (5^th Amendment 2073), on 13 May 2024 at Kathmandu. The interaction programme has been chaired by president of FIAN Nepal (Mr. Gokarna Rupakheti) and facilitates by Executive Director Mr. Ashok Bahadur Singh along with Advocate Dil Raj Khanal. More than 12 federal level parliament members who has been took part in the field monitoring visit at national park affected areas and representing from national park affected areas has been took part in the discussion/interaction programme. Furthermore, Chief Whip from Nepali Congress Hon. Ramesh Lekhak, from Nepal Communist Party Unified (CPN-UML) Hon. Mahesh Kumar Bartaula and Hon. Rupa (Sosi) Chaudhari (CPN Maoist) also has been take part in the discussion/interaction programme with aim to reach the communities voices in upper house of the parliament.
