Orientation on right to adequate food to media fellow/researcher

Orientation on right to adequate food to media fellow/researcher was conducted on 10th June 2014. Orientation program was organized jointly by National Rtf Network and FIAN Nepal which was coordinated by Sanchar Foundation- Nepal, a national level NGO of media people.  This program was organized to sensitize media people about right to adequate food in order to make them enable to cover the  issues of right to food in media.

Program was started with introduction of participants of the program and was followed by presentation of resource person. Mr. Buddhi Ram Chaudahry gave overview of FIAN Nepal and Ms. Yogita Rai present about National Rtf Network. Mr. Yubaraj Koirala presented on the concept of human rights. Likewise, Mr. Birendra Adhikari and Mr. Mohan Mainali presented on the role of media for highlighting right to food issues.

Program was conducted for awareness among the media people about right to food and makes them write on the issue by doing proper research. Right to food is the basic human right and state has obligation to fulfill its responsibility and ensure their right to food. Media persons form almost all national media were present in the program and they showed their commitment to cover right to food stories and highlight the issues.
