Celebrating World Peace Day

FIAN Nepal expressed the solidarity on the occasion on World Peace Day which was celebrated on 20-21 September 2012 in Kathmandu. In coordination and management of WOREC Nepal, World Peace Day was celebrated organizing Peace Rally and Cultural Programme. FIAN Nepal also participated in stall exhibition at Ratnapark. There were other NGOs participating in the stall exhibition. More than 100 people visited FIAN Nepal’s stalls and collected the information on FIAN Nepal and its work on right to food. Video documentary on Rapti ko Rodan (The documentary contains impact and effects of Laxmanpur Dam to the people of 6 VDCs of Banke district) also showed on the day. The objective of the documentary show is to make aware the people about the impact of Laxmanpur dam and its violation on right to food of the community and people living in 6 VDCs of Banke district. After watching the show, audiences appreciated the work of FIAN Nepal in right to food.
