9th Annual General Assembly

FIAN Nepal has accomplished 9th Annual General Assembly on 17 December 2016 at Sap Falcha, Kathmandu. Honorable Minister of Agriculture Development Mr. Gauri Shankar Chaudhary, Chief Guest, officially inaugurated the opening session of the program which was chaired by the Chairperson of FIAN Nepal Mr. Amar B. Air. Other guest of honors in the dais were the representatives from National Human Rights Commission Mr. Dipendra B. Singh, HR Alliance Mr. Min B. Shahi, FEDWASUN Mr. Sher B. Shahi, ANPFa Mr. Balram Baskota, Dalit Welfare Organization Mr. Chakra B.K., Parliamentarian Sher Bahadur Tamang, IC member of FIAN International Dr. Sarba Raj Khadka. The program was commenced with national anthem and followed by expressing condolence to late Mr. Narad Pd. Sharma, General Member of FIAN Nepal.

The guest of honors including Chief Guest wished FIAN Nepal for the success on Right to Food movement in Nepal. On this occasion, FIAN Nepal felicitated Dr. Sarba Raj Khadka and Late Mr. Narad Pd. Sharma for their contribution on right to food movement in Nepal as well as establishment of FIAN Nepal. Chief Guest handed over letters of appreciation to Dr. Sarba Raj Khadka. On behalf of Late Mr. Narad Pd. Sharma, his son received letter of appreciation.

In the closed session of the General Assembly, General Secretary Mr. Satya Ram Twayna and Treasurer Mr. Jhabendra Bhattarai presented progress report and financial report of FY 2072/73 respectively. These reports were presented in front of general members for approval whereas they approved with valuable comments. At the end of the closed session, house of GA unanimously passed a condolence proposal on the demise of Mr. Narad Pd. Sharma.
