5th General Assembly

Food-first Information and Action Network (FIAN) Nepal concluded its 5th General Assembly meeting on 15-16 December 2012, in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, presided by Dr. Sarba Raj Khadka, Chairperson of FIAN Nepal. The annual progress and financial reports of FY 2068/69 were presented and discussed by the members and suggestions were made to further focusing its work according to the thematic areas of FIAN Internationals Strategy. These reports were approved by the General Assembly. Also the work plan of FY 2069/70 to further promote the right to food related works of FIAN Nepal was also presented and approved by the General Assembly.

The recently updated Right to Food Casework Guide of FIAN Nepal was shared. Thereof the representatives of 8 RtF Struggle Committees supported by the program team members presented their experiences on their struggle by the communities, the progress made and further actions towards improving upon their right to food situations.
