FIAN Nepal completed its three-day Semi-Annual Review and Planning Workshop from 5–7 August 2026 in Nepalgunj, Lumbini Province, bringing together 21 project staff and 3 Board Members: (Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and General Secretary)

🔹 Review & Planning | 5–6 August: The team reviewed Semi-annual progress (15 Jan–15 July 2026) achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and budget utilization, then used those insights to shape priorities for the next six months.

🔹 Board Direction and Engagement | 6 August: The Board Meeting was also held at the same venue, creating a valuable opportunity for staff to interact directly with the Board members and receive strategic guidance on advancing the organization’s priorities. The Board’s engagement, encouragement, and constructive direction provided strong motivation to the team. Their interaction with staff was not only a source of strategic clarity but also re-energized and recharged the team, strengthening their confidence, commitment, and collective drive to move the organization’s work forward.

🔹 Making Learning Visible: Two new additions brought creativity to this year’s workshop: a Publication Corner showcasing FIAN Nepal’s work over the years, and a hand-drawn reflection wall capturing activities, outputs, and insights in a simple, participatory format.

🔹 Exposure Visit | 7 August: The workshop closed with a visit to Tikapur and Bhajani Municipalities, learning from Sahakarmi Samaj’s best practices of community and a chance to see community-led approaches in action.

More than a review, this workshop was about learning from others and renewing energy for the work ahead, advancing the Right to Food and Food Sovereignty through community-led approaches.
