Social Protection and Nutrition

The concept of social protection aims to address vulnerabilities faced by various groups and communities through assistance, insurance and fostering greater social justice and equity.  Social protection and nutrition are intrinsically linked by the fact that poverty coupled with social inequity is the root cause for hunger and malnutrition in countries like Nepal. FIAN Nepal’s work will involve mitigating vulnerabilities faced by individuals and groups through facilitation of assistance and insurance (through other agencies) as and when required with emphasis on social equity and promotion of social justice.
